Flint Residents Water Bottle and Used Filter Recycling

WATER BOTTLE AND USED FILTER RECYCLING INFORMATION FOR FLINT RESIDENTS

The City of Flint, Genesee County Metropolitan Planning Commission, Keep Genesee County Beautiful, and Republic Services would like to encourage Flint residents to continue recycling their empty plastic water bottles. Due to changes in operations, the water Points of Distribution (PODs) located around the City are no longer accepting plastic bottles for recycling. However, residents may conveniently continue recycling empty water bottles at no cost. If a resident is not eligible to participate in the curbside recycling program, empty water bottles may be taken to an alternative drop-off site located at the Flint Municipal Complex Parking Lot off of 7th Avenue just east of Saginaw St.

For more information about recycling plastic water bottles, or for details on the City of Flint’s curbside program, please contact any of the following agencies at the phone numbers provided:

PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO RECYCLE YOUR USED WATER FILTER CARTRIDGES AT THE SITES LISTED ABOVE. They may contain hazardous substances like carbon and lead and we do not want them in our landfills.
