RECYCLING

Much of the glass, metal, paper and plastic we use daily heads straight to the landfill, usually after a single use, yet these items have not reached the end of their life cycle. Keep Genesee County Beautiful believes that conserving resources is important and recycling is one way in which to do so. KGCB has become the “go-to” resource for recycling education in Genesee County and provides information on what can and cannot be recycled in curbside programs and how to prepare it. See the link below for a list of year-round locations and drop off sites for items that are not accepted curbside.

If you have questions related to recycling, contact Holly Lubowicki at 810-767-9696 or via email at hlubowicki@kgcb.net

Genesee County residents can now recycle their old and unwanted latex paint for FREE. Simply drop-off cans of latex paint at the Genesee County Habitat for Humanity ReStore during regular business hours.

Old latex paint is then sent to ePaint Recycling in Battle Creek where it is processed and recycled into new paint which is also available for purchase at the ReStore.
